Any type of dry wood can be heat treated, the moisture content should be no more than 10%. In the case of thermal modification of wood with higher humidity, there is a risk of cracking of the wood during processing. The processing itself in our thermal chambers takes place in a steam-water environment of high pressure at temperatures up to 225°C. After heat treatment, the moisture content of the wood is 4-6%.
The Sukhoviy KTMD thermal modification chamber is already a classic among equipment.
The chamber is not of a pass-through type, cylindrical in shape, with double insulation and electric heating. Loading and unloading of the stack into the chamber using a mechanized electric drive. Process control is automatic and programmed by the operator before starting work. The three main modes of operation are recorded in the controller's memory.
In the standard version, the chambers are made of steel, have double insulation, are equipped with electric heaters and an electromechanical drive for loading. If necessary, the chamber can be manufactured according to individual requirements (changed stack size, stainless steel, etc.).
we will conclude an agreement in which we will discuss the terms and conditions of delivery
we will load your equipment onto the transport and provide all the necessary documents
after the chamber is at your site, we will carry out chief installation, start-up and staff training
The price depends on the load volume (4, 6, 9 or 12 m³) and configuration. Send a request and we will prepare a commercial offer with specifications, configuration and lead time.
4–5 days depending on the wood species and board thickness. The chamber runs automatically, no operator presence is required.
Any species. The timber must be dry, moisture content up to 10%, otherwise cracking may occur during treatment.
Yes. Standard chambers are steel, double insulated, electrically heated; on request we change the stack size or build the chamber in stainless steel.
